Biography
Trove Excavator
Whether they like it or not.
Accidentally tunneled into the pirates trove(off the North East of the Shifting Expanse) and, upon them realizing his caverns lead all the way back to the Sea of a Thousand Currents, was summarily recruited.
Occasional hunts through his tunnels have to be manned to find missing loot that he 'borrowed' because he thought it would look better elsewhere. These hunts can take anywhere from days to weeks depending on where exactly he thought it looked nice. Especially if it happened to be in the long stretches that are under water.
He was heard to say, when confronted on a few occasions on it.
"Technically it never left the caverns, it just got moved a bit. Don't you think it fits better here? Borrowing it for a bit certainly doesn't hurt right? You could always just put it back."
While this certainly irritates the Captain, he does begrudgingly give it a pass.
The fact that the one 'borrowing' the items is giant, over twenty times his weight and brimming with natural knives, doesn't hurt on the 'letting the matter drop' part either.
If anything ended up missing permanently however, this might change.
But considering he thinks it is more fun to watch them try and figure out what is gone and scramble to find it, it's not likely to be an issue.
"This is why I don't like to do business with Ridgeback. They are like giant hatchlings with no sense of personal property."
While not the most skilled of fighters, extensive digging has made him exceptionally durable.
Changed himself to a Ridgeback early on as he thought their borrowing nature(culture?) sounded like a fun lifestyle.
Also. there are times when ones parents embarrass them so much that they want to mentally dig a hole to get away. What if you could actually do that, and then just kept going?
"It's Surge now mom. A perfectly normal name for a dragon."
