Once the second-in-command of the Crystalline Colony, a sprawling lair within the Wispwillow Grove, Citrine and his fellow progenitor Obsidian have retired from active leadership to spend their twilight years exploring what the rest of Sornieth has to offer.

For hundreds of years, Citrine has defined himself by his unrelenting belief in kindness above all else. Be it as simple as honestly praising a younger dragon's efforts or as history-defining as offering a peaceful alliance at the end of a vicious war, he always, always chooses the most compassionate path he can see. This isn't to say he's naive, or incapable of passing judgement - rebellious hatchlings and enemy clan leaders alike have learned to fear the retribution of a wronged Citrine. He may forgive, but he rarely forgets, and centuries of less scrupulous dragons trying to take advantage of his altruism have made him almost supernaturally adept at sensing bad faith.

obsidian and citrine are my progenitors from when i joined back in 2020. having swapped to arcane and massively overhauled my clan since, they don't exactly fit into the usual progen role, so i think it's cuter and easier to imagine that they literally are 'retired progenitors' who are visiting the lair i have now like an old couple on vacation.
