Grasshopper has always been able to feel multiple rhythms around him. When he was little, certain dragons would trigger different feelings in him when they came close, but he could never understand what it was he was sensing. It wasn’t until he was older and began to study medicine with the clan healers that he discovered the truth. The rhythms he was feeling were the biological systems of others around him.

When the cause was discovered, experimentation happened and Grasshopper learned he can also affect the bodily rhythms of others. By making adjustments to the different vibrations, the fae can affect metabolism, growth, lymph cleansing, etc. With more practice, he is starting to use his powers to help healers adjust mental chemical balances as well, to even out some of the more erratic dragons in the lair.

When not working with other dragons, Grasshopper spends a lot of time out in nature soaking in the feel of different ecosystems and how their rhythms fit together. It helps with his healing. And the small dragon has a large group of hummingbirds who worship him as a god because he can make it so they don't have to constantly eat to stay alive. As such, they get to actually have a life other than just feeding themselves.

Grasshopper’s reputation is spreading with each dragon he helps, but he has one hard and fast rule… he will not alter anyone who does not consent. Those who drag their friends or family to him for “treatment” are turned away after being scolded for trying to change someone unwilling.
