Biography
"The Winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."
~John Muir

Serenity's daily companion in the nursery is a Serthis Loremaster named Raymond, who keeps record of the Legends and Folktales of the clan. Sometimes Serenity makes him write down the cute remarks the hatchlings make. When he objects, she retorts that he shouldn't discriminate against wisdom just because it comes from an unexpected source. |

Serenity is one of three Windsong subspecies in the clan. When she first arrived, the Matriarch thought the Windsinger wanted her to adbicate in favor of the wind-touched gaoler, but Serenity prefers to spend her time in the Hatchery. Most days the furry dragon can be found rolling around on the floor with the hatchlings; however, the other dragons have noticed the young ones wandering off on their own more than ever. When questioned, the younglings answer, "I was following the wind" or "I heard the wind calling to me." When asked about this strange new behavior, Serenity only replies, "Of course they did." |

Serenity's use of her talents is comprised of telling stories to entertain the hatchlings and roughhousing with them when they can no longer sit still. Under her tutelage, the excitement and apprehension surrounding exalting to serve the Windsinger has calmed. Between stories and games, the young dragons could be found wandering in the forest or gazing off the cliffs and when asked why, the most common replies were, "the breeze drew me here," or "I was just listening to the wind."

Windsong Lore
Created by @paintminion
When the first Windsong dragons were born in the world, some, especially those born in Wind Flight, were revered as the essence of Windsinger himself. Others born in other Flights lairs were often teased and bullied by those who did not appreciate such an obvious indication of a deity outside their Flight. These days it is recognized that Deity dragons are very special, no matter what Deity they represent. It is an honor to be so close to the Gods of Sorneith, such as Windsinger. Any lair that has a Windsong dragon or Skysong dragon is blessed by the Windsinger himself and considered very good luck! |
