Biography

Precious
"Do you wanna play with me?"
she/her

Jeweled Octoflyer
Dainty Wavehopper
Candy Cockatrice
Precious is just about the most perfect, most precious child you will ever meet. She seems incapable of doing any harm to anyone, or having any harm done to her. All dragons, and, it seems, even beasts, who meet her immediately feel an incredible urge to protect her, play with her, and keep her safe from harm. Now, this doesn't mean by any stretch of the imagination that she is completely safe from harm. Quite the opposite, in fact. Precious has been known to inadvertently cause battles over her custody, the scale of which can range from small skirmishes to large scale battles spanning days, to long hunts and tests of endurance that can last weeks to months.

But of course, the duty of protecting Precious not only includes her physical well being and health, but her mental health. So, those that fight for her always make sure that she is out of earshot of the fights. I, personally, have seen dragons whisper fight over her, just out of sight of the camp fire, and when Precious awoke and asked them to play with her, they immediately dropped their weapons and had a game of duck duck goose until she had another nap.

In the clan, most dragons seem keen to help her and keep her happy, yet some deign to stay as far away from her as possible. Precious doesn’t spend time in the bar as a customer or mercenary or anything so horrible for such a small, wonderful creature. No, she’s there by her own will, and she just hangs out with her adoptive father, Irish. He’s probably the only dragon truly able to care for her and protect her, with his extensive resources and hidden, strong empathy. Of course, he is affected by Precious’ powers, but not to the extent as many other dragons, as she’s chosen him to care for her, and wants him to be in control of his faculties. And she also doesn’t affect Irish’s mercenaries as much, either, because he politely asked her not to.
