Betula

Betula was born into the world alone. Perhaps as an abandoned egg, or a clutch long forgotten. When the young dragon emerged, she fended soley for herself till she felt the call of The Search. Thus Betula left for a long journey towards a small beacon that was calling out from the horizon. The guardian began to notice she was heading towards the towering tree that eclipsed her views. Eventually she wandered deep in the forest, passing by dragons of all types and heedlessly carrying herself forth. Here she found a tall proud birch tree, where she could feel her dragon heartstrings tug. This was the tree, her purpose in life to protect and nurture. Betula adopted the name the tree whispered to her, and was shocked to find a scraggly tundra dragon curled up next to the tree.

They became allies, and quickly formed a lair around her prized tree. Betula never asked Ochre his past, as he seemed too worse for wear and didn't wish to pry. They ended up having a clutch and welcoming unusual guests into their midst. Their allies where odd, but their company was welcome.

After a time Betula was surprised to see another Guardian lumbering her way, as she stood before her majestic tree. This is when he bowed before her and pledged his prowress to defend her above all else. They became closest of allies and mates, and are constantly found protecting each other and their clan from harm.
