Known as Contagion or 87, this entity appears as something that perhaps was a dragon at some point. The collection of flailing limbs and spiked crown of horns implies it was a nocturne, but as the open sores fester over 87's body it shifts and creaks with unfettered growth, making it look less and less like a living being.

87 was a difficult one to catch, as it's exclusively nocturnal and those who saw it often fell ill and died within days, sometimes within hours. In the end a magical trap was set by Inddrin and Jovial, who were able to freeze 87's body while staying a safe distance away; it took many hours for the area to be deemed safe though, as 87's virus was airborne.

Brought back to Sleetstorm, 87 was put at the deepest levels of the prison and kept frozen. Though they had no trace of Shade corruption on them, they are much too dangerous to leave wandering around.

Nobody knows what 87 was before they were Contagion, or if there even was a before; but some mysteries are best left unsolved and buried deep underground.
