- technically a royal because of his heritage - snobby and entitled - gets lots of respect and sway in certain spaces - shunned in others (taboos and superstitions
- Zilkrev has likely heard of Velkurpeni and her cult, but somewhat detests it. He refuses to bow to another living entity. He's loyal to the elders in his bloodline and that's it. If anything, they should worship him and his family instead of this mystery being.

- The Beast was a powerful dark magic practitioner, considered by many to be a proxy of the Shade itself. Her offspring carry this same magic, albeit weaker with every generation.
- Not much is known of Naomi. It's suspected she was a Shade-borne amalgamation similar to The Beast, but nobody's sure. She's shrouded in more mystery and controversy than The Beast, to the point where even some of The Beast's descendants shun her and her offspring.
