The lives of demihumans are never easy, often being mistreated, sometimes sold and traded like exotic pets for those that were wealthy enough to forgo empathy and decency. Hyacinthus, though never having to experience these horrors herself, heard them firsthand from her mother. The dove herself was born into captivity, and she remained in this state, quietly seething as the years passed her by. Hyacinthus' only respite was in the skies, feeling the wind whip through her hair and the weightlessness of flight made her heart soar, casting off the fetters of captivity like they were nothing but a worn shawl.

Still, that could only placate her fiery spirit so much. Her first escape attempt occurred at the age of 17, thwarted by the skilled handlers that had devoted their lives to oppressing her kind. Despite her mother's tear-filled pleas, their captors decided then that Hyacinthus was destined to lose her capability to fly, and thus her wings were clipped. Her mother had attempted to stop them, and for that, she was killed.

Forever grounded, robbed of what made her feel whole and the only friend she had ever known, the demihuman grew angry and developed a hard pit of hatred for those that held her captive. One late night, after years of planning, she finally made her escape, mortally wounding one man and killing several others as she did so. Now, she acts as a bounty hunter, bringing her own form of justice to the world she so despised. Haughty and brash, with all the force of a warrior to back up her words and actions, she is surely a force to be reckoned with.
