Kalessin
Ice Flight - Familiar Caretaker

Cheerful / Soft / Timid

A sometimes shy, young-looking Tundra, Kalessin is from Yevaud and Reach's second clutch of eggs before they became changed into Pearlcatcher and a Spiral respectively. She is a a bit more energetic than her sister, Penthe. However, Kalessin always looked up to her sister, despite Penthe's deep introversion. The two are close though, or at least Kalessin sees their relationship as very close. She likes to help her sister where she can, although she's not the most assertive dragon, which holds her back on occasion. Penthe usually likes to tend to her foraging alone, but Kalessin has learned a few tidbits of which plants can do what from her.

She, like her sibling, are some of the earliest members of the Wandering Snows clan. Kalessin has seen many members come and go over the time of the clan's existence. As one of the earliest members, Kalessin was gifted a Seraph scroll when the recent influx of said magic scrolls were being a subject of recent excitement in various flights. The rest of the clan celebrated with her that day, and it was a joyous occasion.

Her wings became much stronger after having the added feathering, and as such, she began to explore the region around the clan's home much more.

It was around that time that an orphaned Tundra boy named Sparrowhawk was found by the clan. The boy came under Yevaud's wing, for at the time, they were both of the Tundra breed and interested in magic. Kalessin would help her father with his research at this point more, and so often talked to the new Tundra as well. It was not long before Sparrowhawk and Kalessin grew closer, and with her parents' blessing they became very close mates.

Currently, her role is that of a sometimes-forager and also a familiar caretaker, and it was on a foraging trip that she met her familiar, a Clouddancer she named Soren. Clouddancers are indeed "birds" of prey, but are also known for their playful behavior. Find one when they're young, and its said they'll be bonded to a dragon for life. Kalessin enjoys helping other dragons in the clan look after their familiars, now that the group has many more around and about, and so has taken this as her main role.
