Bio by MythicalViper wrote:
Found swinging upside down over a pit of bubbling acid, Mamoritz was saved from bad life choices by Rheana, who convinced her less-amused mate to step down after a “soap on the ground” prank. She did leave the Fae trickster hanging, though, so it took quite a bit of pleading on Mamoritz’s part to convince BonBon to free him. Since then, Mamoritz’s been hanging around the clan and playing pranks wherever and whenever possible. Some of his pranks are harmless and mostly done just for the laughs. Others are not as… mature, and end up with Katiyana going after him with a hatchet.

He’s honestly lucky she hasn’t killed him yet.

After a minor incident that set the library on fire, Amaris warned Mamoritz to ease up or leave. Considering that BonBon was out for his neck and Katiyana was ready to serve his head to the librarian on a silver platter, it was really one of the lighter sentences he could’ve received. To many dragons’ surprise, however, Mamoritz chose to stay instead of hightailing it out of Katiyana’s swinging range. This choice was questionable, but Mamoritz simply claimed that he wasn’t ready to move on. He was a wandering trickster, after all, so it’s only logical that he’d stay as long as he was entertaining, death threats or not. Plus, the clan was the only lair in that part of the Starwood Strand, so any desire to leave would be preceded by months of preparation, and Mamoritz didn’t feel quite like going through all that just yet.

Thus, he’s stayed. And if he’s being honest with himself, he isn’t really sure if he wants to leave.

Nowadays, Mamoritz can readily be found in town square as an entertainer. He can juggle, do stand-up comedy, circus tricks, and even complicated arithmetic! Truly, he’s quite the talented entertainer. Which unfortunately hasn’t stopped him from pranking other dragons. Though by virtue of the Amaris Edict he’s reluctantly refrained from pranks that could potentially injure others, some of his “harmless jokes” can still be a pain. Like that time he swapped Migora’s botany books with Synelia’s patterns and caused both dragons to come after him with carnivorous plants and spiked fabric. Or the time he swapped the notebags of the Arcane Academy students and instigated a five-way mini-war that nearly destroyed the town square. He managed to escape having any fatal harm befall him both times, but his luck is liable to run out one day. Especially if he keeps destroying property. Apparently, that doesn’t count under the Amaris Edict. But if Mamoritz really plans on causing more “collateral damage,” he should probably first plan for how he’s going to deal with half a clan’s worth of angry shopkeepers.

Despite his quirky attitude and tendency to annoy other dragons, Mamoritz isn’t mean-spirited. He’d never pull a prank that could potentially kill someone, and even if his pranks do end up hurting others, he’s always ready and willing to clean up his mess. Most dragons don’t see this responsible side of him, but all will admit that they wouldn’t really want to kick him out of the clan. He might be small and irritating at times, but nobody can deny he’s fun to be around, and that he’s grown on them. Besides, Mamoritz pulls his weight whenever necessary and will help the others organize or carry items. He’ll even safeguard their precious trinkets if they’re away from the clan for a long time! Though whether you’ll return to find those trinkets booby-trap is another thing entirely.

Recently, Mamoritz’s been clearing a path to Lake Erie in hopes that Cubb will stumble upon it. Oh, sure, there were rumors of monsters dwelling in that lake, but this was Arcane! There were plenty of monsters about, and no guarantee one of them would harm a fluffy little hatchling. Beside, he’s scouted the place out already – nothing sinister at all, just a creepy lake with fog spewing out of it. What could possibly be in there?

A giant lake guardian, you say? Please, those only exist in fairy tales.
