Growing up, Papyrus had always been overshadowed by his sisters. They were both strong warriors who had trained under their fathers watchful eye for years, but that life had never interested Papyrus.


He preferred reading books or studying charts that travellers at the inn showed him. He thrived when given the opportunity to plan a course on a map, or when he noticed a hidden detail on treasure map which others might have missed. He would have loved to make his own based on his own journeys, but he wasn't very strong and he was very scared of going too far from home.

But when his sister's admitted that they were going travelling, Papyrus saw an opportunity! He could ask them to send letters describing where they had been, then he'd be able to map it out from home! The perfect plan! He decided to tell them about his genius plan the next morning before they left, so he went to bed early in the hopes of getting a good nights rest. But, by the time he woke up the next day they had already gone.

Papyrus wasn't quite sure what to do without his sisters around. They were always so loud and boisterous that the silence left a void in the house. Papyrus didn't like it. Consumed by sadness and loneliness Papyrus didn't know what to do! He found himself just staring at the walls for hours in the hopes that something interesting would happen.

It didn't take long for his parents to notice their sons sadness and whilst they were also sad about their daughters leaving, they knew he needed help, so they hatched a plan. Daelin sat her son down gently the next day. "I know you miss your sisters and you're sad that you never got to ask for their help, but I think me and your father may have found a solution!" She beamed at him as Arlo brought in a squawking and flapping bundle. "I found this Death Seeker on my last hunting trip, Cobalt made a small camera so she can travel far and document unknown lands for you!"

Papyrus was over the moon! His new Death Seeker friend regularly came back with images of the lands across Sornieth and soon he developed a reputation as one of the best Cartographers in the world! If you need a map making, then Papyrus is definitely the dragon to go to (just don't expect him to leave his home anytime soon to help you).
