You see a statue among the dragons in the clearing. Drawn to it, you marvel at the level of detail that makes the chunk of stone look so lifelike. As you reach out dreamily to touch the work of art, it turns and looks at you. With a frustrated snort and a heavy sigh, gargoyle moves away from you muttering, "why can't they just leave me alone?"

As he walks away, a group of dragonlings crash through the underbrush and pounce on him, bringing him to the ground.

He's never been the same since his wife, Marble, was mortally wounded while defending their old lair from ShadowBeasts. He screamed at the gods about injustice and was heard by the Earthshaker, who granted her a life beyond death at their side. Gargoyle has never forgiven the gods for taking his beloved wife.
