Ylor'entranath, Guardian of the Beyond

Ylor'entranath has only ever shown himself to the cireln settled on the coast of their homeland, the Crystalwood. Despite his lack of visibility in his true form to the men of the Ten Lands, his name has passed the lips of most seafaring travelers and traders and depictions of what he might look like adorns the heads of most ships. His presence was well-known even if very little else about him ever was for anyone travelling too far away from any shore is turned back by him, not directly but it's proven impossible to travel any long distance into the sea despite illusions of success by the determined.

Tales of rescues during terrible storms have been enough to perpetuate the rumors of who and/or what is responsible and any heading out in such conditions with hopes of luring the god into a meeting have been met with dismal failure and for some even presumed death. Time remembered the reason for it all long after the end of the Dragon Age until the Great Exodus and still beyond in the historical records now being penned by the clan's archivists in memory of their dead world: men swore an oath to the gods not to travel past the shores of the Ten Lands the moment they sought for what lay beyond them.

Ylor'entranath now lives more secluded from most of the clan than even many of the other gods---and for much the same reason as they: with their sudden visibility has come much curiosity as to their secrets, such as why the open ocean and the lands south of the southern desert were declared off-limits to all mortals. Even now they will not speak of it. Fortunately, most of the survivors brought with them to Sornieth know better than to press certain issues... or at least they know better than to disobey their leaders' firm orders by doing so.
