Biography
Years of Plenty
Azazel and Athanasia did not expect to bear four more offspring the second time they mated. At first, shock filled their minds, which was then filled by an overpowering sense of glee. Athanasia was delighted, as was her mate. They both watched over their rather large nest with love in their hearts, and defense in their minds. When they were busy, their nest was monitored by Adrasteia, Athanasia's sister and healer-in-training, or Aurelius, Athanasia's fellow healer. Time flew by. The couple had spent so long waiting for their nest to hatch, but at last it was time. Athanasia was watching over them when she noticed the first crack forming on the shell of the largest egg. Excitedly, she called Azazel to her side, and the two joyous parents watched their children enter the world.
The first to enter the world was a rather shy hatchling, but his father could tell that he would grow to be strong. Azazel named him Belial, after a soldier he had known while he served the Stormcatcher. Belial was followed swiftly by a girl, the eldest daughter of the clutch. Athanasia named her Anastasia, while noting that Belial and Anastasia were exactly alike, sharing every one of her own genes aside from eye colour, which was only a shade apart. Next was another girl, who had the same features of her elder siblings, but her father's wings. Azazel chuckled, and named her Calantha, after an old friend of his who had passed away. The three hatchlings, together in their nest, were taking their first tentative waddles around their nest as their parents watched over them. Their eyes were shades of purple, much different than their previous children, who had the burning red eyes of the Plague Territory they were born into.
However, the last egg had yet to hatch. Azazel and Athanasia thought to themselves that it would hatch soon, they just had to be patient. Hours went by, and the egg had yet to stir. Worriedly, they carefully transported the egg through the late winter's chill, and to the healer's lodge where Aurelius and Adrasteia were working late into the night. They had convinced Nadia, Aurelius' mate, to watch their young on short notice. Later that night, Azazel and Athanasia had brought home Samael, the fourth and youngest hatchling, with rare primal eyes. The four grew up together, and each had different interests.
Belial adored his father, he loved to hear stories of the battles he had fought, the wars waged, and wanted to be just like him, and his older brother, Theodore. Azazel noticed his son's interests from a young age, and had tried to curb his violent streak, which was thankfully successful. Or not. Belial often sparred with his father, or his younger sisters, to further hone his combat skills. As he aged and approached adulthood, he decided that perhaps he should find a new place to live, somewhere to make a home for himself. And on one morning, he did just that, bidding farewell to his parents and younger siblings.
