 __HISTORY__
Splat was hatched deep in the frozen tundras of Ice Flight. She was rescued by a flock of Harpys who raised her as their own and kept her hidden whenever Talona paid visit to their flock. She would listen in to the terrifying stories Talona told of the horrible dragons who killed beastclans for fun and she blamed them heavily for bringing the Shade back to the lands. Splat learned to hate dragonkind for the atrocities they've committed against her family and friends.
Her Skydancer antennae allowed her to sense the emotions of the beastclan members who were possessed by the Shade. She begged her Harpy family to let her try to save them but they always pulled her away and told her there was nothing that could be done for them now. Then one day her Harpy father became infected with the Shade. None of the others noticed but she could see the smallest hint swirling in his eyes and sensed his fear and inner turmoil as the Shade spread. She never left his side and tried her best to keep him happy with her child humor but his time soon came. She cried and begged for her family to not chase him off but she was outnumbered and pinned to the cold ground. Suddenly three dragons swooped into the fray. A Gaoler swung his claws through the infected Harpy and the Shade was torn from his body. A Pearlcatcher dug his fangs into the bubbling shadow until it melted and faded away into the snow. A Coatl pressed her glowing hands onto the Harpy's chest and healed the magic that flowed through the Harpy's body until he was fully recovered from his possession. The Harpys cheered and Splat was stunned. The dragons she had learned to fear had just saved one of her Harpy family members. She ran as fast as she could to the Coatl and demanded that she show her how to save those afflicted with the Shade. Splat was immediately adopted by Pascal and Cyanide while Adonya eagerly teaches her everything she knows about healing. |
