THINGS I WANT FROM THIS LAIR
- a big library, at least two levels tall. There'd be spiral staircases to the balcony for the second floor. The shelves would be polished dark wood, carved with knots and braids and feathers. There are giant, giant windows that look out over the valley, letting light pour across the floor in the winter.
- I want a kitchen that's somehow small enough to be cozy and never feel too big, but also large enough to fit half the clan. There's a spice rack with more seasoning than you know what to do with, and a cupboard with tins full of herbs. All the tea towels have Arrix's embroidery on them. Most of the dishware matches, white with a blue line on it. The hearth would be big enough to sit in if it weren't for the ashes and the fire grate. - I want a pantry that you can go around the corner in, with sturdy wooden shelves. There's rounds of cheese, and there's bread,
- A walk-in cooler, the kind that used to work on enchantments but is now half-spelled and half cooled by a Lightning appliance.
- All the colourful food you can imagine
- Sturdy wooden table and chairs
- Copper kettles and
- Small 'powder' room at the back of the kitchen, or in the hallway leading up to it, because we need us our bathroom breaks

- training rooms

- a broom closet with a stained glass window

- personal chambers with an adjoining officer

- an infirmary, probably on the north side where it's quiet, but maybe on the corner so that the sun can come in in the morning.
