For centuries, the old tree stood in a clearing. Surrounded by an ancient, tangled wood, it was hard to reach. Many different waves of creatures found the aged giant at different times. Some worshiped the tree itself, others used it as an altar for the Gladekeeper. But always it was revered and looked upon with awe and love.

Even trees have an end to their span... and when the former icon was ready to let his spirit seep out of the tree and into the ground, he was only slightly wistful at leaving all the interesting moving creatures behind.

Feeling its longing, Gladekeeper rewarded one of her more aged children for long service rendered. As the tree died, the spirit within it found itself in a new form. Bonsai looked very much like the tree he had been... but he was alive in a very different way.

The wildclaw is at once an ancient being with much patience and wisdom and a sprightly youngster spreading his wings and learning how to live on a completely new time frame. Bonsai will go from wildly rushing around with the youngsters to discussing eons past with the elemental spirits of the lair. But everywhere he goes, he is treasured for being unique and worthy of love.
