Halcyon had the oddest start in life a fae could have. His little abandoned egg was placed inside a mirror nest and when he hatched the female mirror just accepted her new odd-looking son and raised him as her own. Of course a mirror's diet is not one for faes and while he couldn't quite eat dinner with his family like they did, he did get a taste for blood. Thankfully he sated it by mainly eating blood-engorged ticks. While out of place he was still content with his time in the mirror pack. Unfortunately, he was forced to leave them when the pack grew too large and food became scarce. Left behind and uncomfortable by himself, Halcyon found and settled down in Sodansa's lair. The culture shock didn't hit him as hard as it did for others and he was quick to find his own little niche in the society.
Faes are not known for their talking but Halcyon takes it to another level by choosing to be mute. In the pack you didn't need to talk to know who your friends and enemies were, actions speak louder than words and its a long-time habit he's kept.
Halcyon enjoys company and gets along well with other mirrors in the lair. He is also close to Lorcan, another fae who didn't have the nicest beginning and is seen as a bit odd.
