Biography
LEADLiGHT BUTTERFLY
• •• ••• [ V ᐱ ꜖ ଠ ∪ Ɍ ] ••• •• •
– –— –—— ——– —– –
These classically beautiful, sophisticated dragons are not just pretty; each one is trained at least in basic combat, and schooled together on essential subjects - such as literacy, mathematics, the sciences, history, logic and philosophy, and the arts - before choosing a speciality to learn and truly excel at.
Their Calling.
Once they come of age and have found their Calling,
unless born a vampire they are then turned,
and they are one of the Elite.
True Nobility.
• •• ••• ••• •• •
They tend to be reserved and serious, sometimes even antisocial though even then they are more likely than not in possession of obviously carefully trained polite manners - it is the need to use them that has been apparently a contentious subject since the beginning. They might come out of their castle fortress the very picture of poise and heroism, but winter evenings in the great hall are loud, raucous, and highly improper affairs quite at odds with their almost pious public image.
Frequently arrogant and aloof, even if quietly so or only among their own kind. Also, at times maybe a little more foul-mouthed and independent as their creators and commanders would like to believe, and prone to sporadic bouts of excessive drama, they are encouraged to be individuals and generally live just on the edge of the law, the more brash and obnoxious of their ranks are tolerated in private, yet treated like rock stars in the public eye - as long as they show fierce and unwavering loyalty, and without hesitation or question, follow the command of their superiors and above all those of Lenore, the exquisite young Vampire Queen of Styria. They are often somewhat distant, socially; detached from the rest of the world - or even sheltered, by the standards of other young dragons. However, their strict and unusual upbringing makes them grow up fast and gracefully, for the most part, and though each of them would readily die for another in battle, they aren't generally close, emotionally.
It has been said, albeit not by the Butterflies themselves, that something in their training means they lose all capacity for emotion.
ᴺᴼᵀᴱ This is, of course, all nothing more than gossip bred of fear and ignorance, spread by uneducated, superstitious fools, and by the enemies of Styria and the D'Haran Empire.
