"When you are young, it's deeply annoying to be told that certain things are a condition of your youth. There's almost always some condescension in the proposition that your reality, your hopes, your frustrations, are just a condition of your age, that what feels unique to you is a very common thing after all."

With the body of a hatchling, the mind of a normal dragonling, and the emotional wild swings of an adolescent, Yenna is an interesting combination in one tiny form. Right from the start, she was independent, curious, and fun-loving. Which was what led her to getting into the way of a food preservation spell in the lair's kitchen one day. The dragon casting it on the meat to be held in stasis (so it wouldn't go bad before it was to be cooked) didn't see the little one come bounding through at just the wrong moment.

Though the spell didn't harm her, Yenna's body does not grow. Her mind appears unaffected so far. She learns quickly and well, and can keep up mentally even with some fully-grown adults. She is still young, so Yenna finds struggling with her emotions very difficult. Because she wants to be taken seriously, she will sometimes get very upset when others continue to treat her like one of the younger dragons.

Yenna's difficulties are minor most of the time, though, and she is a happy, loving addition to Chaotic Daydreams. The nocturne is still trying to figure out what she wants to be in life, but she's more than happy to turn her hand to trying anything to find out what she might like. Her constant companions are the other permanently young ones. The group of them romp through the lair and bring much laughter to the lunatics as they play and learn together.
