Björn is feared far and wide. A cold, focused man of his element. His massive axe has carved through too many enemies to count. He is much warmer in person to his friends and to his subordinates, but has a reputation for his constant seriousness and often finds himself at the butt of jokes. He isn't quite sure where they're coming from. He has a high morality code and follows it thoroughly, refusing to do jobs for people when he doesn't trust their intentions and sometimes may even hunt down potential employers when he finds that they're indeed horrible people. Björn isn't afraid of the law, standing for what he believes is right at all costs.
The Silence is a result of his past in leading a band of mercenaries, and of Puck's refusal to retire or join the clan's Guard. These mercenaries have quickly adopted a path to match their leaders, a combination of Ice and Plague. Most often they're hired for protection, travelling alongside caravans or escorting people through the ShadowBinder's domain. Occasionally, however, smaller clans need assistance and their numbers bolstered through a hard territory dispute or skirmish. After his wife's death, he was certain he'd never have another lover. As time passed, he found himself drawn closer to Puck. It seemed a more brotherly connection at first, two seasoned fighters covering the other's blindspots and nagging at each other's faults. As the years wore on, though, it became more. He found himself missing the other's company when apart, found himself going out of his way to help cool Puck's temper, found himself waking up with the coatl curled up and small against his chest. And then he stopped correcting people when they mistook he and the coatl for a couple. Björn is aging, now, and it's beginning to show in the creases of his face. He teases Puck endlessly about his graying hair, but the truth of it all hangs over him. His prime days are behind him. He'd always imagined a glorious death on the battlefield... But a recent job in Ice has his mind wandering to other options.
