Summoned from another world, Naofumi was originally just a college student who played video games and read manga as a hobby. After reading a mysterious book about four heroes, Naofumi was transported to another world, with a magical shield clamped to his arm. After getting accused of committing a heinousness crime against the country's princess, Naofumi was outcast. Afraid and alone in this new world, with the destiny of protecting the world that shut him out, Naofumi grew to hate others around him, and lost all trust for others.
He's on a journey of healing. It'll be a while before he is able to trust in others again. For now though, he has his close travel companions who he considers his family in this new world. He would do anything to protect them, even if it cost him his life.
