Whelp, I suddenly gotten the urge to write in a journal after all this time. Not that I have anything to write about...
I've been traveling for about a year and haven't seen anything worth writing about. Let's see. For the past few months I've been hold up in an inn trying to "figure things out" for myself. They finally kicked me out though. Now here I am, off to see the world. Ha! More like "off to get eaten by beasts."

Lucky me, I found this group of dragons near by. I guess I won't be devoured by wild animals tonight.
They say that most of them are merchants. They travel from place to place selling their wares. Everyone looks carefree here. Must be nice...
I don't even remember why I thought it would be a good idea to leave my original home. All I know is I was just as pessimistic back then as I am now. What am I searching for? A new home? A purpose? Change? I'm not sure. Maybe I just want to feel a part of the world, you know? I want to be able to leave my mark somehow...
Look at me, being pensive. This is new for me.
I don't want to over stay my welcome with these dragons. The plan is to split from this group in the morning.

Turns out not all dragons here are bloodthirsty savages. Probably just a great majority of them. I happened upon a band of skydancers who call themselves the Sky Runners. A little insensitive to any of their members who can't fly, but it's not my place to judge I guess. They're letting me stay with them until they can provide a safe escort to the borders.
There's this one terrifying spiral who's supposed to be my guide, but... I think I'd rather brave it alone. He looks like the type to strike when you're not looking.
I guess it's nice though... seeing them all come together and support one another. Makes me think the world may not be all bad... but then I see the rest of these desolate wastes and am corrected.
One of the skydancers has offered to teach me a little combat and self defense. Maybe that's not such a bad idea.
