Ulfric was hatched specifically to be a representative to the Empire of the Moonlit Waves. He was then sent away, where he now lives as a representative to the Clan of Kaskaden.

Ulfric's first interactions with the clan were quite odd at first. He almost never spoke, and was known as the "Silent One". He was like a statue, staying quiet and letting most of the dragons walk all over him. Aislinn obviously enjoyed this, and felt very refreshed by the fact that he never tried to suck up to her like most other Representatives. Instead, he stayed as silent as possible like Arcano. Thus, Aislinn had her favorite Representative.

Despite the fact that he was hatched in Kaskaden, Ulfric has never found them to be his "family". He actually truly despised them for leaving him. He never got to know his parents due to the fact that the clan carted him off to the Empire as soon as he could speak. So when he came to the Waves, he decided to close his heart. None of the dragons in the Empire knew how to deal with this cold drake.

Ulfric's stony nature put everyone off, and many dragons began to talk behind his back. He was ostracized within the Empire, though it still never affected him. Despite this, there was still a few dragons who weren't put off by Ulfric's nature. Those were the seer Eimhir, the Ice Representative Holanthrus and Lord Elbereth.
