Frank

Basically, he´s a Hellhound who was cast out of hell because he was different. He never understood why he was supposed to hurt, in his eyes (more or less) innocent, people; plus, he would rather learn everything about the laws of hell and heaven and tried to understand them instead of just doing what he was told to do. So one day, the demon lords decided to chase him away and they let the other hellhounds lose on him. He barely escaped and had a hard time accepting that he´s stuck on earth now. But over the years he found a purpose in his existence and now roams dark alleys, trying to protect innocent people from the ones who really deserve to rot in hell.
For his physical appearance: he looks pretty similar to a pitch-black doberman. His fur looks like it´s made out of pure darkness and kind of moves in a weird way all the time. He had red glowing eyes and his muzzle, ears and limbs are all just a bit too long to look normal; you can also see all his ribs because he´s really thin - but that´s perfectly normal for a hellhound like him and nothing to worry about. From time to time he wears a chain around his neck - nobody, including himself, knows why it appears and disappears randomly but Frank does not care so why should you? It´s not unusual for him to have quite bloodstained fur because after all, he kills people - but like I said, only the ones which deserve it.
He has the ability to turn into black smoke but he only does it when he needs to flee, because it´s very energy consuming.
His name is a bit unusual for a hellhound. But for him it was like that: since he got chased away, he didn´t want to be known by his old name anymore, the memories just hurt too much. And so he just named himself after the first name he learned on earth - which happened to be Frank.
