Mottie was born to two ice representatives in a peaceful Nature clan. Her mother, a strong, beautiful wildclaw, noticed that she was not crying and cooing like her other new hatchlings. Upon further inspection by the clan doctor, it was determined that Mottie had no functioning vocal chords. Her Coatl father had very little problem with this. Her father taught he to communicate with her frills; mostly simple words to communicate mood or feelings. She grew up like this. It was pretty easy, to be honest. Not a lot of problems. Mottie kept to the library, studying the history if the dragons everywhere. She knows the anatomy, the history, the origin of every species of dragon known to this world. While her siblings played about the trees, Mottie stayed in the scroll room. Within a few months, Mottie was the smartest scroll keeper in the entire clan. She documented everything from visitors to new hatchlings, to even sometimes plants when she was bored. She was brilliant. Every eligible dragon asked for her hand; even the ones who made fun of her mute nature. She turned everyone of them down. It wasn’t until she met a fellow Coatl dragon that she considered taking a mate. Marble had a severe stutter. However, she managed to say, “You’re very pretty”, and Mottie fell in love instantly. Marble began spending time learning how to function and speak like her girlfriend. She used her frills to communicate with her and assisted in finding books. The two are perfect for eachother. It wasn’t too long before Mottie and Marble heard tale of a tyrannical, Cannibalistic dragon that ruled her Clan with sheer terror. The two could not allow this monster to treat her dragons like this any longer. The two traveled to the then Lightning clan to bring peace to the terrified dragons. With the combined power of the two dragons, the cannibal dragon was defeated. To further protect the clan, the two moved the clan to the Windsweapt Plateau and settled there. The first action as Queen, Mottie deemed the clan, “Clan Everhome” as a symbol to all who take refuge there that they are always welcome. Mottie and Marble brought peace to the clan at last. Mottie is now the co-leader and record keeper of the clan. When she is not at Marble’s side, she is in the records room, writing reports of new hatchlings, dragons arriving to the clan, and dragons leaving.
