Dainty and delicate finds the ice princess, pleased to sit in her palace of frost being beautiful and admired from afar. She basks in her reflection day in and day out. This isn't to say she is unintelligent, or incapable of being sociable; she is simply too spoiled to bother.

This came to a grinding halt when he swept in like a gale, looking down on her with derision instead of awe. He spat at her indolence and called her a waste before settling into his own luxurious home, ignoring her existence.

This was unacceptable.

Haile preened and she batted and she fluffed and flurried. None of it would do. Nothing tempted him, changed his mind; if anything, he hated her more for each attempt. Finally crushed by her own shortcomings, she weaved a cruel string of words and misgivings at him with more violence than an Emperor.

And Aufeis smiled.

Her heart grew many sizes. They have remained pleasurably close since then.
