She comes before the others, stumbling upon the shelter of the Syl Nadir and praying to Mother that she’ll be safe here. She’s freshly awoken from the layers of ice that held her inside of an egg for so long—so long that her growth has been permanently stunted. Yet despite being what is effectively a dwarf version of the other banescales who escaped with her, she is fast. So fast, in fact, that she is sure she’s the first one of her clutch to reach a clan’s boundaries.

It isn’t long before the commotion her landing has caused draws a crowd, and she isn’t shocked to see that they’re all staring in disbelief. At least one or two of them looks welcoming, however, and she bounces toward them on confident wings. “Hi,” she grunts, voice hoarse, “I don’t suppose I could get some food?”
