═════════════════════════════════════════════ E I S ; co-captain of Frag ═════════════════════════════════════════════ Eis was found wandering the wastes around SALVAGE after nearly stumbling into the enclave. She is a talented cypher (technomancer, essentially) due to the operation that saved her from death, whatever it was, but seems to have been a mage from before: Eis is not only able to manipulate electronics but uses what she calls “kalterstahl”, or “cold steel”, to freeze and shatter metal. She uses this in unexpected ways to conquer her enemies, and it is evident that she has earned her spot on the lead Unit of FRAG for a reason. Cryoborgs like Eis are created through cryonics, the practice of using low temperatures to preserve the terminally ill in the hopes that future technologies will be able to cure them. No one ever guaranteed it would work, and the stakes couldn't get much higher, we're quite literally talking life and death here. All possible precautions must be taken to minimize the risks involved. There is one risk however, that no one could have predicted. Enter the Cryoborgs, the unlucky victims of a magical surge. Their cold flesh has been fused with the machinery engineered to protect them, and the magic that almost killed them. They are almost always coated in ice, the omnipresent chill preserving and sustaining them. For this reason, heat is often lethal, though individuals with more robotic parts tend to have increased resilience. "Nothing burns like the cold." Eis’s memory from before her cryonics procedure is hazy. Flashes of dark, silty bogs and dams come up in her dreams at night. It is the Tangled Wood, surely, going by the shadowy purple of her eyes, but try as she might, she cannot remember the faces of her friends and family, how she got to the Southern Icefield, or even how long she was in cryosleep there. As a young SPRING agent-in-training, Eis found Wrath frozen inside a glacier, nearly extinguished and in a deep stasis. The young cypher awakened him; confused and lashing out, he attacked her. After forcibly shutting off his power source, protecting her from his blazing attacks and weakening him, she explained the situation and convinced him to join SALVAGE. The two developed a bond and as he recuperated inside the enclave’s bounds, she found an affinity for defense and left SPRING to join up FRAG alongside him. They quickly rose up the ranks as a Unit and gained captainship after a prolonged siege. | x |
