criminal for hire sly | opportunistic | charming "too cool for school and, like, too financially irresponsible to hold a steady job." quick look Wicked and sly, Lanqo is one of a kind. He's not evil, he just doesn't believe in personal space. Or personal belongnings. And if he sometimes gets paid to, ah, relieve others of their possessions and riches, it doesn't really make him a thief. Merely an opportunist and business savy fellow. Lanqo isn't the type to commit to anything, though spends plenty of nights with dragons he meets- he's not picky, either. He's a smooth talker, hiding his less desirable traits with ease and spins tales upon tales of deeds he's never done. Lanqo claims he saved a wounded Spiral and her three hatchlings from feral wolves one moment and the next he'll claim to have fought an Imperial blindfolded and won. |

history Lanqo was born into a plague clan, shrouded in the warmth of decay. And not long after, he promptly got himself thoroughly lost when exploring the nearby lands. Whilst he was a clever one, nimble and quick on his claws, his sense of direction left a lot to be desired. Instead of worrying about it, he squared his shoulders and set course for new lands. Much time was spent doing nothing but exploring, meeting new faces and learning new skills. It became apparent rather quickly that he was rather independent, perfectly content in his own company and comfortable living one day at a time. Lanqo learned to hunt (he was terrible at it) and he learned to craft (he was beyond terrible at that), slowly learning how to keep himself alive (he usually just leeched off whoever he met). One day, he met a Spiral named Aasmund in the depths of the Windsinger's lands. The two met in a broken down Inn and Lanqo, after much drink and talk he convinced the Spiral to teach him the fine art of stealth that he'd shown off in a half-drunken moment of thoughtlessness (he wasn't very good at that, either). Lanqo built on his mediocre skills in stealth after the two parted ways, picking up things through trial and error. A master of disguise, he wanted to be, able to disappear in a flash and become anyone. Spoiler- that never happened. As he continued his journeys, he picked up the unfortunate habit of petty theft. Lanqo found himself too tempted when a dragon forgot their money pouch behind or when he let himself into the empty homes of strangers, always picking up something. He learned to pick pockets and found he had a talent for talking his way out of trouble, his extravagant imagination and quick thinking aiding him often. Lies came easy and Lanqo was quite comfortable, happy to wander and indulge in whatever whims he had. At times, he'd take odd jobs by various undesirables (they paid well!) and lived a good life, all things considered. But, alas, it was not to be and though he didn't know it, his entire life was about to change. Change of such magnitude not even his impeccable disguises could hide him.
