Cygnus

A wrong turn led you to an impressive lab filled to the brim with gadgets beyond your wildest dreams. Before you had time to admire any of them, a colossal, but well-dressed, Ridgeback approached you.
"Ah ha! Just what I need! If you'd please lend me a claw, my dear!" He spoke with gusto, handing you half of a bizarre gadget while he fidgeted with another piece.
You nodded as unease crept over you. What was he making? That feeling turned to terror as the brass piece in your claws arced with sparkles of electricity, ionizing the air and making your scales tingle.

"Don't worry. It's safe!" Cygnus laughed but it was hard to have faith in his words.
The Ridgeback made an adjustment and the gadget crackled to life once again. With a sizzle, the room was bathed in cyan light. In a flash, you swore you saw your bones and the visage of a skeletal Ridgeback staring back at you.
Yelping, you dropped the device and everything returned to normal, but you'd had enough! Without a word you turned tail and left the room.
"Hmm?" Cygnus pondered, peeking his head out the door as you departed "I guess it needs a bit more tinkering..."
