This glittering automaton is the result of an experiment, to see if machines can be imbued with a magical red crystal to achieve more power. However, his creators neglected the possibility that it would give him sentience as well..
He fled the laboratory afraid and confused, overall overstimulated. Months later, was found by the clan patrol. Dirt encrusted, rusty, and shaking. He refuses to relay what happened in the span of time. It must have been awful...
While recovering, he befriended Tenacity, a fellow robot found by these hospitable folks.

Chrome now stays as pristine as possible. Any amount of dirt or rust on his mechanical hide sends him into a frenzied panic, as it reminds him of his time spent alone in the wilderness. As such, his role in the clan is mainly claws-off, sort of an accounting job. He makes sure to keep numbered track of inventory, the dragons coming & going, etc.
