Agape comes from a clan of warriors found in the thickest part of the Overgrown Forest. Every dragon was expected to fight, to win battles for their clan. But not all dragons are be born to be warriors, are they?
Agape's father, Dusk was born to the most skilled warriors of the Overgrown Forest Clan. They were the two dragons that led their clan into the battle that freed them from slavery to the Mighty Clan. They were worshiped as gods, and they were expected to have a child just as powerful as them. But, Dawn was born. He was the color of the sun when it peaks above the horizon in the earliest hours of day. He was everything beautiful with a beating heart. He was trained to be a warrior at an early age, but he quickly failed to reach his clan's expectations. He preferred the arts. He loved to sing, to dance, to love.
His clan quickly learned to hate him, to see him as a failure, but his parent's love kept him safe. As he grew older, he started to to explore beyond his Clan's land. One day he found the clan of the Peacemakers. He fell in love with Gwennan, and as the story always seems to go, they had a son. Dusk's clan was angered by Dawn's actions. He had broken the most important rule, he married a non-warrior. Dusk's parents could protect him no longer, and Dawn was banished from the clan forever. Dusk left and lived in peace with Gwennan and his son.
But one dark night, a few warriors of the Overgrown Forest Clan snuck out and stole Dawn's son as he laid sleeping. Dawn's parents were hoping to raise this child as their own. They were hoping he would grow to be the warrior they always wanted. They named the son Priamos after their warrior ancestor. However, as Priamos grew older, Dawn's parents realized that Priamos was just like their son. He loved to sing, to dance, to love. They were ashamed of Priamos, and of who he was. But Priamos was strong; he did not obey his grandparents' will. During the night of the Mighty Hunt, when he knew his grandparent's would be gone, he snuck out with only a few parcels of food.
He wandered for days, surviving on small fish from the stream he followed. One rainy afternoon, Priamos lost hope, and laid into the dirt, waiting to die. While Priamos was in a deep state of sleep, a wonder came upon him. Priamos was too sick to move, he was hardly conscious. The wander rushed back to his home, and returned with a few friends. They carefully carried Priamos back to their lair where they nursed him back to health. When Priamos awakened, the wander, whose name turned out to be Hedgehog, told him that he was safe. Hedgehog was the head gather of the Clan of the Misfits and had found Priamos on one of his outings. Priamos was confused. What did they mean misfits? Each dragon, there was about thirty of them, sat around Priamos and told him their story. They told him what made them different, how they were banished from their clans, and how they had found each other. In that moment, Priamos realized that he loved every single one of them no matter their differences. He loved them unconditionally, and that's how he got his new name, Agape.
