Sanctum grew up as a princess - well, that was what she had been told. She hasn't a lick of royal blood, not really, but that doesn't matter much when you're raised to think otherwise. Looking back, she knows she was a gullible kid. Her sister made up the stories because it made things easier on them and helped Sanctum to not be as scared, but the truth was really a lot darker and more simple.

Her sister had enemies, those enemies wanted everything and everyone that had made Sanctum's sister happy to die. Simple. Sanctum never got the full story from her sister, by the time that the princess game had worn off and she would have had a mind to ask they'd been separated for years.

It didn't stop the people coming after her though.

Maybe it was silly, to let the fairy tale she'd been living shatter her so when the truth came to light. To Sanctum it just was. The time she was with her sister involved the best memories of her life, and now as an adult she can only look back at that nostalgia with a bitter taste in her mouth. All lies, and all trouble that haunts her now that she doesn't even know about.
