While faes who came from the moon are long gone, Lusamine carries the blood held by her great ancestors.
her powers are limited by the diminishing generations, her kind has been reduced to telekinesis and harnessing light to later reflect at night. no longer can her brethren make celestial bodies out of nowhere or travel the cosmos on a whim.
she spends her nights flying as high as she can get to practice strengthening her powers. she pushes herself to fly farther not only to the sky but away from her home, picking up many things from great distances. until the day she accidentally picked up an egg
frightened at her carelessness, Lusamine waited around where the egg would have come from until she realized the scent of the parents were long gone. With the egg getting colder Lusamine did what her instincts told her to; she began to wrap up the egg in her scarf before flying up as high as she could get, praying to her ancestors to let her get something right and as she started to reach her limit, gasping for breath, the egg began to crack and the little dragon began to coo at her mother. underneath the light of the full moon, Lusamine made the biggest decision of her life to keep the little one whom she named Layla "beautiful night"
