Dunesand doesn't seem to know she's not born of the Lightning flight. Yet, it does appear like the Stormcatcher has blessed her somehow. Electricity doesn't shock her and she is never affected by static. She also seems to have inherited some naturally good skills from her mother, considering her penchant for fixing and maintaining mechanical objects and essentially anything that requires electricity for power. She understands it all intuitively and passionately engages such things, finding any sort of challenge fun and inspiring!
