Biography
Although similar in appearance, Toxin is not one of The Chosen. Her acid-green runes are the result of a blessing- though some may say curse- placed on her family by a powerful witch. Toxin's gift is more powerful than most, and her runes grant her the ability to burn through most substances, though she can control the strength of its corroding effect. She also has a beautiful singing voice, and diamond-hard, iridescent black scales.
Some say that her blindness was inevitable. So many gifts, and nothing to counterbalance them? Most in Toxin's family lost their sight over a period of decades, but Toxin was born completely blind.
Though most believe blindness to be an affliction, Toxin has grown accustomed to living without sight. She claims that lack of sight has allowed her to appreciate the things in life that aren't dependent on vision. As such, her abilities of scent and hearing are incredibly acute.
And yet, the first time she shared sight with her Firebug, Lumiere, she cried tears of joy at the colors.
She and Drogo work as nomadic Bards, traveling throughout Sornieth to regale tales of glory and woe. They've stayed in the Clan of Feathered Skulls for much longer than usual, fascinated with Ember and his vast collection of stories. Toxin watches, wide-eyed as Ember recounts his tales of old.
