Daffitil

He is a bit shy around unfamiliar dragons.

The last of the fledglings to step out of the cave, Daffitil cautiously flew into the village. While nervous at first, he quickly became infatuated with the jewelry in the market district. Using all the money his parents gave him to spend in town, he bought a magnificent pendant that first caught his eye.

After months of exploring the marketplace ogling the jewelry, Daffitil stumbled across a craftsman working on a new pendant. He watched for what seemed like hours before the artisan asked if he could be of assistance to the young fledgeling. Startled out of his trance, Daffitil began to gush over the fine craftsmanship of this dragons work. Shocked by his passion, the older dragon invited him to sit and watch him work. This continued for days, and the two got to know each other better. The elderly craftsman was named Hrandel, and had been a jeweler for almost two centuries now, but was looking to retire soon. Looking the boy up and down, he continued to say that he had been considering taking on an apprentice, but hadn’t found anyone with any promise until now. Diffitil was stunned briefly before graciously accepting Hrandel’s offer.
