I designed Cuvier while on a bit of a Ghost kick, spurred on by a mix of disappointment at some people's boring use of the gene, and immense inspiration by others' creativity. Like with any themed dragon in my lair, I was eager to find my own take on a "fossil" dragon. The Ghost tert was the easy part of course, and then it was a matter of playing around with genes and colours; I knew the texturing had to look like sedimentary rock, and I wanted a fairly dry, dusty brown for the base. The end result is Cuvier here, named after the French naturalist and zoologist Georges Cuvier.
