Biography
•Harbinger of Hope•
A migrant from the Ashfall Waste, Lyros didn't call Fire's domain home for long. Offered up for sale as a young hatchling, Lyros found himself sickened by the clamor of the Auction House. It was quite the overwhelming scene, after all. Bustling with grifters, and merchants, patrons, belligerent familiars, and, of course, hatchlings like him up for sale. Finding himself rather annoyed by the cacophony of the place, he fled, creating quite the commotion as he did so. Within a few lunar cycles of aimlessly wandering Sornieth, he found himself in Dragonhome, among a group of dragons that dubbed themselves the Opus Isodomum. Finally, he could experience the love of a real family.
If you were to ask him why he left, he wouldn't tell you it was because he was annoyed by the sounds of the Auction House. He wouldn't admit it because the fetor of the different familiars irked him. In fact, he would answer that it was because he knew he was worth more than the meager price he had set for him. He knew he was worth more than what could only buy a few days rations, if even that.
That isn't to say that he's a liar. In fact, he strongly advocates for honesty amongst the Opus. His worldview is just a little bit... Strange, to say the least. As the longest standing member of the Opus, Lyros finds that it's his responsibility to make sure that they have a sense of hope. That there's an example set for them-- something for them to aspire to be. If no such idol exists, he fears they will become disheveled and lose their sense of unity. He also finds that it's easy to make yourself into a martyr.
Lyros isn't a liar. He's just deceptive, for the greater good.
Both he and Caydran are the eldest members of the Opus- Lyros having been in the Opus Isodomum for the longest, and Caydran being the oldest. Though the clan lacks a true leader, the two of them function as harbingers of sorts. Though none of the dragons are required to respect their authority (and many of them don't), a majority of the clan follow their guidance and listen to their rhetoric with ardent respect.
