Biography

Aine is not only the first of the clan to be born with primal eyes, she was lucky enough to be born fae. Tammy immediately has taken this child under her wings in the belief they are favored by the Arcanist.

Though she is usually quiet and subdued while around members of her clan, she is quickly becoming more adventurous and hopes to travel all around the world.

Aine knocked on the door. From inside the hut she could hear shouting and what sounded like a cauldron falling, followed by cursing. She was about to turn away from the door, when it swung open, slamming against the side of the hut.
A very frazzled Skydancer looked up at the sky and squinted, his antennae shaking.
“Um, I am right here, on the ground.” She piped up and the Skydancer looked at her and grinned.
“I totally knew that!”
“No you didn’t, you buffalo skin.” A fae came into sight and his fins flared for a moment as he spoke. “Come on in, since Altair has no manners.”
Aine carefully stepped inside, following the other Fae, who flew to the work table.
“I’m Vykos, what do you want?”
“I was told that you guys have maps?” Aine pulled a worn leather scroll and unraveled it across the table. Vykos leaned over it, his eyes glittering in the dimly lit hut.
“Cricket?” Altair slapped a bowl on the table and she jumped back. Vykos ignored the bowl and tapped the leather.
“Where’d you get this?”
“I found it, and a Spiral told me that you two could help.” Aine edged towards the table, aiming to stay as far from the cricket bowl as dragonly possible. Vykos pulled out one and ate it, his crunching sounding sickening.
“Could you put the crickets away?”
“Oh, I thought Fae loved insects.” Altair grabbed the bowl and Vykos glared up at him.
“It’s like how I won’t eat those nasty maggots you insist have high nutritional value.”
“Ah.”
Vykos looked at Aine and frowned, well, as close to a frown as a Fae could have. “Why do you have a giant pet moth?”
“It’s not a moth, they’re my companion. What’s the map say?”
“First off, primal child, it’s not a map. Second off, you’ll have to return it to Arcanist, because it’s his. But Altair and I will ink up a detailed map for you and your... companion and off you’ll go into the sunset.” Vykos rolled up the leather and then bound it in twine, passing it back to Aine.
“My name is Aine.”
“You should’ve introduced yourself when the door was opened.” Vykos pulled some parchment that was hanging from the rafters as Altair walked up, shaking and ink bottle.
The pair worked quickly, silent the entire time as she watched. They were almost perfectly in sync, it was hard to believe that everything she’d heard about them was that they were the couple of crazy dragons that made potions and argued.
“Here’s your map. Since you’re a Fae like Vykos, it’s about a two day journey.” Altair handed her the freshly drawn map and a small bottle.
“What’s this?”
“Courage potion, just in case.” Altair winked and then the pair steered her to the door.
“Good luck Aine!”
She waved goodbye and then launched herself into the sky, following the map.
...
From the ground, Vykos clambered onto the small cavity behind Altair’s neck and wings.
“You need to stop giving out placebos.” He muttered.
“Can’t stop, won’t stop.” Altair smirked, tilting his head so he could wiggle his antennae at the pink Fae
