B I O G R A P H Y
Brier was born into The Den of Wraiths from a performer and a mage. He battled his way up through the ranks until he was deemed the sneakiest most charming wildclaw they'd ever seen, but he wanted to further his skills elsewhere and began to roam the realm of the great dragons. From a young age, Brier had skills in illusory magic. The best way to learn was as a performer. He grew up as part of an act to make dragonkind laugh and curious with wonder. In short, he was a magician but he could only learn so much. Quickly, Brier lost interest. The magic was not challenging anymore and there was no variance. Everyone wanted to see the same tricks over and over. He decided he had enough. He quit his job and trained as a battle mage for the Den of Wraiths. His skills were useful and Brier found himself enjoying this type of magic. As he trained and got stronger, his opponents seemed too easy to defeat. He added a dash of illusion there, an agile leap, and an accurate strike to many weak points a dragon has. His skills were unlike any other, however, he quickly became disenamored with this new task.
Out into the world he went, challenging any dragon moronic enough to fight him. He searches for a dragon such as he, cunning and quick. The dragons from the Scarred Wastelands were strong, the Windswept Plateau were pacifists, and the Tangled Wood had many games of wit that challenged him. Each place he went he fought the strongest of the strong, and anyone else willing. His search seems never ending and Brier’s hopes slowly dwindling. Is there a dragon smart enough to best him? Is he just being too picky? These thoughts spiraled in his head. What if he just went back to being a performer? What if he joined the war efforts of the Den of Wraiths?
Brier continues on his quest in hopes of one day meeting his goal of finding a worthy opponent. For now, he thinks an apprentice might suffice. That if he trained the apprentice himself, maybe they will be stronger and smarter. He may never know.
