Narishma had always been a reserved and reclusive dragon. When it was time for him to undergo the trial to proof himself as a Necromancer, he had been reluctant. As a young dragon he had spent some time with a shaman and to Narishma’s surprise he had shown some talent in soothsaying. The spirits reacted kindly to his presence, willing to do his bidding despite his young age and lack of experience. But as a Necromancer he was expected to deal with disease not spirits. So he did as was expected of him and suffered through the trials.

He contracted the plague easily enough, but almost died fighting back the infection. Exhausted by the ordeal, barely able to keep himself upright and on his own feet he eventually failed the final test. Unable to call the plague back again, he was doomed to a life of service. Only he didn’t want to dedicate his life to another dragon, let alone a fully-fledged Necromancer who would always look down on him as an inferior being. His clan however didn’t leave him any choice. He was bound to a Necromancer and conscripted into his service. Narishma loathed it. His master was cruel, arrogant and malicious. Narishma fled at the first opportunity.

Knowing he had brought great shame upon his clan he left the Scarred Wastelands to never return. Instead he focused on improving the talents he was born with and over the years he became a respected shaman and soothsayer.
