A demolitions expert who wandered in from beyond the fog one day with few memories to his name. He recalled his name, his favourite foods, and how to blow something apart into teeny tiny little pieces. Wandered through the woods for a while before being picked up by a traveling caravan of traders who were headed to the Ichorsands. There he found work as an explosives handler in the open air mines, and shortly thereafter became a resident on a hunting sandship that went after sandworms and other massive monsters. On one expedition into the deeper heart of the desert, he met Ithaca who was on a trip to uncover some ancient ruins.

The two became fast, albeit extremely unlikely, friends. Ithaca is calm and reserved while Matteo is loud and very, very outgoing. Perhaps their friendship bloomed because they both shared an interest in science, magic, and dry humor, and the fact these interests aligned at just the right moment to create a bond that not even high explosives can break.

With Ithaca in tow, Matteo started a journey down the road of magitech and alchemy, utilizing some of his less destructive skills make creations that do things other than exploding. On the other hand, he can now create many more things with the sole purpose of doing something before exploding. Often can be found next to Ithaca in random taverns around Morden, fiddling away with some strange amalgamation of metal, wires, and magic crystals.
