Lightning through the sky. A shadow of black skims with ease through the clouds; outlined only by the sharp crackle of electricity that streaks the night. Kratos’ head lifts, eyeing the weather with bore teeth and disdain. There was something there and the Acidic Banescale knew it. The wind carried the scent of a threat, plenty enough that the male bristled. For the turbulent weather that rattled the night and tore through the plaguelands, it was worryingly still and the on-guard Banescales seemed to still with it; breath held waiting on something in anticipation of a fight. That something was the flash of black scales accented with gold that struck down with the ferocity of lightning, itself, and immediately locked into combat with Kratos. Green and yellow scrambling, biting, clawing under the visage of darkness that cloaked them both-- The guard shifted, closed in, though cautiously as snarls grew and echoed amongst the clash of thunder. The fight lasted but a minute before Kratos’ rough voice hissed out, confusion ever evident in his tone as his maw pulled away, bloody, from this stranger. “Kali?” Green hues peered upwards to the golden beast that held a claw upon his torso and teeth to his throat. The same green that ran his veins stained her maw, sharp canines shown for a second as Kali pulled away with that same confusion reflecting her expression. “Kratos--” The recognition is slow coming but there, familiarity inching into her voice as she eases off of the slightly larger male. “Hey, Kratos. Are you dead yet? Asking for a friend.” Calypso’s voice slowly rang into the silence, footsteps inching closer as the other Banescale seemed to take in the situation to hand. “Not dead yet, thanks for the concern.” Sarcasm dripped off Kratos’ tone, adjusting to stand and seeming to appraise Kali as she stood before him; head held high as she retained every inch of molten pride he knew her to have. In turn, both were judged by Kali; weighing their worth in the moment before she opted to adjust and stand down to a relaxed stance. “Why… are you in this rotting lands, Kratos? Last I heard you were travelling to ‘greener lands’. This is, by far, the farthest from green that I have ever seen.” Another crackle of lightning and Kratos is smirking. “Want to find out?” “No.” And yet, beneath the cover of darkness, three Banescales slowly made their way back to a wilting cliffside that coiled along the lands of Arcane.
