B I O G R A P H Y

Despite her large size compared to much of the clan Nami is the "baby" of the clan. She is the offspring of a long chain of previous clan members and she is looked after closely by Palmello and Nuka for this reason. She has many siblings that have moved on to other clans or been exalted, and her parents have since gone on to serve Windsinger as well. The result of this babying and protectiveness over many years, instead of bitterness, has enforced a sort of Peter Pan syndrome in her. She is ever playful, always kind, and rather hatchling-like in the things that catch her fondness. She can almost always be counted on by SnowMelt to play pretend with the hatchlings if she has to step out for a while.
As a hatchling, she had a fascination with mementos and trinkets. This has expanded into a sort of "hoard" of badges, stickers, and other things to mark an occasion in the clan's history. She knows most of the stories of these items but is not herself a historian like LemonDrop or SnowMelt. She is open when it comes to showing her collection and explaining the history behind the items and frequently gazes on them and makes sure that they are being stored to her satisfaction. Neither Nuka nor Pemma can remember a time when Nami has gone on a Search like a normal Guardian. Between the two of them, Nuka jokes that it is because their "little Na-Na" hasn't grown up enough yet while Pemma thinks that the bright and carefree Guardian found her Charge much much younger than most. To Pemma, she is a Guardian of Memories.
Nami is quick to rouse to play and fly. She loves accompanying other dragons from the clan on mundane errands and watching what they do. It would be easy to ask her for help, but most requests are small such as "helping stir the batter," "trying on this nice ribbon," or "finding a nice spot to set up for the day." Even those that are younger than her have come to think of her as a younger sister or hatchling of their own over time. Some of those that come for exaltation are, at first, surprised by the Guardian's disposition and demeanor often being met with "look my belt jingles!" which is most often followed by a demonstration, but quickly warm to her positive attitude and carefree nature.
When the news of The Shade's imminent attack came, the clan sent Nami to stay with another clan in Nature where she had some friends with a discreet warning that she wasn't to return until word came from them. When she returned she found parts of her home destroyed with many dragons still reeling from what had happened. Though she is scared of what happened she is glad that her clan was safe and has helped more than she realizes with her innocence and kindness.
