The forest atop the hills of Ruine is deep, dark, and misty. Weird flora grow there in the damp and dark amongst the trees. Strange beasts thrive, and rumors speak of dragons who are cursed to live in the forest until the end of time. Though not entirely untrue, the rumors are mostly misled. They are cursed - as are all of Ruine's residents - but they can leave the forest whenever they please. However, one reason or another leads to them staying there. A lone wildclaw sorceress lives within the woods, close to the outer edge. She is smart and kind, but quiet, used to the solitary nature of her existence. For she stages a vigil at the edge of the forest, her magic forever holding within a great beast. If one finds her she won't say much, but enough to warn one of the creature that lives within. She is forever exhausted by holding up her ward through day and night. Many a foolhardy dragon will enter the woods and encounter the savage beast she speaks of, either becoming prey or escaping within a moment of death.
