From the very moment she was born, she was greeted by the sunshine. Her parents doted over their energetic sons and daughters, but Sunrae had a special light in her that could never be dimmed. With her father's natural intellect and her mother's caring gaze, Sunrae gave attention to those who never thought they'd receive it. As she grew into the beautiful Skydancer others knew she would become, her demeanor didn't change one bit. She's company for the lonely souls, the socially inept, the veterans and injured, the elders, and even those who could so easily be seen as a potential foe. Surprisingly enough the only ones she hesitates around are potential suitors who gawk over her beauty. A simple flick of her wings and she disappears into the sunbleached grasses to avoid the ones with flowers and gifts to try and win her over. It still wouldn't be wise to think someone so naive couldn't handle themselves independently however. The world isn't always kind to those with a gentle soul. Sunrae keeps with her a dagger and small tattered spellbook given by her father. The book seems old... perhaps something he was bartered with in his many trips to the merchant's stall. It has unique magic that she has practiced fruitfully. It's sure to come in handy when the time comes that she will need it. Although not wanting to experiment with romance, Sunrae fawns over hatchlings every time she sees them. To have a few of her own would truly be an adventure. But while still young, she won't think about settling down just yet. The one she meets might be a dragon who just happens to need a bit of her sunshine in their life. --- ♦ --- |
