   A retired mercenary sent alongside father abbot to find the site of a saint. Better with his herbs than his sword, now.

not the most adherent to rules set by the abbot. gets away with it because theyre close friends. more like a kind if not a bit reserved middleaged uncle who can tell you neat stories and maybe will even bend the rules for a bit of fun on a good day. makes getting him out of his shell all the better. reads when he can. bit quiet and dour on bad days but not as straight-edge as gerhard.
